The struggle against the third runway has been going on for a long time, the sign used to read Stop Heathrow Expansion. November 19 was billed as a day of action by the protest group RisingUp! with activists pledging to arrestable peaceful protests against the third runway. On the same day residents around Heathrow gathered to protest against the airport expansion at a political rally in London.

Kristian Buus is a Danish / UK based freelance photographer covering social issues and human stories.

He has extensive experience working on sensitive issues, a fast moving environment and able to strike up a relationship with most people. He works with both formal studio settings and the spontaneous moment and his work cover both short commissions and long term projects.

He has also experience working with moving images, editing and social media.
