Description +-

This artwork discusses the problem of air pollution and how its deadly consequence will damage the life of our next generation. Mickey Mouse symbolises the dream of children and the notion of a happy childhood. The artist paints him in a gas mask to portray the gravity of the issue of air pollution. Simple yet strong, the character is located in the centre within a sea of expressional brushstrokes; this draws focus to the gas mask while expressively visualising air pollution and the density of the issue. Kwong intends to arouse the audience's attention to highlight the deadly consequences of environmental pollution. Its impact referenced both in its human consequences but also natural with regard to the dying flower.
